Thundridge, Wadesmill & High Cross - Thundridge Village Concerns

Thundridge Wadesmill & High Cross Village Concerns

Here are few points raised by villagers that, however trivial, are worrying to local residents. Please respect their views and show some consideration to the points raised.

Point one: Dog owners and dog mess?

A dog owner is responsible for any droppings left by a dog on any pavement or road in the UK. Read more and leave your comments.

Point two: Parking?

Please remember to park away from residents gateways and drives, do not park on pavements or in such a way that local residents cannot park outside their houses. Read more and leave your comments.

Point three: Speeding?

We seem to have a problem with traffic speeding through the villages along the C183 (the old A10)?

The novelty of a quiet back road after the bypass opened seems to have worn off!

There is a 30mph speed limit through the villages, there are elderly people, children and school entrances to be wary of.

From High Cross down to Thundridge cars and lorries speed through taking little notice of mini-roundabouts, chicanes and speed limit signs. Attempts have been made, including a recent police presence, to slow drivers down.

Is there more that can be done?

Is this an issue that you care about?

Do you believe something more should be done about it?

If so, please use the traffic calming survey and leave comments.
